The Kiwanis Food Pantry is located at 801 6th Street, on the north side of Lazelle.
The Pantry is open from 9-11:45am, Wed. & Fri. – except on Holidays or when there is no school due to snow. Income eligible Meade County citizens are welcome to visit the pantry monthly, but must first stop at Hillsview Highrise, 1220 Cedar, to be certified. Must provide all household income, SS cards and IDs or Birth Certificates.
The Sturgis Golden K Kiwanis operate the pantry and all food is either donated or purchased with donations.
The pantry gives out about 4500 pounds of food a month!
Commodities
Commodities now arrive on the feeding America Truck. This truck comes the 1st Monday of the month (subject to change) to the West parking lot at Lynns DakotaMart. The truck is there from 2:00-3:00. Please provide an ID card; otherwise there are no requirements.
Senior Food Boxes
For those in the household who are income eligible and are 60 years or over there is an additional box of groceries available. These are supplied by Feeding America but can be picked up each month at the pantry.
